My yard in Ozark, MO 2009

My yard, August 2009. Added one bed last spring and one this spring. Tore out and replanted two beds this year. Built freestanding deck this year as well as redesigning main deck. Have to tear down arbor swing as it is becoming too unstable. Not very happy with the way the long bed on the east side of the yard looks, so I have to decide what to do with it. Some plants I put in the wrong location and need to move. All in all I'm happy with the way it has progressed in almost 4 years.

I just love it, ecoboat! There is a world of labor showing there!! I'm sure you enjoy the swimming pool. That's one thing I'd like to do for grandchildren and my swimming family.
The banana plants and cannas are beautiful and I think they just make the tropical feel of your yard. How do you keep them over winter??
I don't know how you could improve it -- it's just lovely. Thanks for showing us!

Your yard looks like a great place to entertain friends and family. Your tropical theme makes the pool fit in with the landscape. Everything is neat. I didn't see it all this time will visit your album again some time. I have some questions about some of the plants but I will have to get the picture numbers. The crepe myrtles look nice too. Yeh it is RAINING and I need to shut down my computer.

You have created a paradise in your own backyard! It looks wonderful.

I am wondering about overwintering those tropicals too.

Amazing Ekoboat! That may be the pretties backyard I've ever seen. Your banana plants are TALL. Do you leave those in the ground?

I leave the bananas, cannas, calla lillies in the ground all winter. The elephant ears stay in the ground also except for the upright ee's, I do dig them up.
