Yeah I agree- Heck I could make that mistake & I try to be observant about spelling & such. Then our young pup hides his pictures in a 'members only' area? Sheesh...

Anyway...
Unfortunately it's very hard to ID one of these vines just from the leaves- For many reasons.
On some the leaves change shape depending on the age of the plant and / or the length of the vine- and there are many varieties who's leaves look very similar, but have completely different herataige & flowers. Also it's usually rather difficult to find a picture of a leaf of anything really.. As nobody's interested in the leaf when there's a flower open, and without a flower they don't know what it is.

I understand your hope though- that is a rather distinctive leaf.. Perhaps there is someone who with a glance will know. Or at least have a "It could be_____" guess.

From the shape of the leaf I suspect it may be in the decaloba family, with relatives such as capsularis, quinquangularis, sanguinolenta and sunburst, all of which have that same vague 'wing shaped' leaf. 'Cource your 'wing tips' are spread much more, but..

I wish there was a book containing pictures of the flower AND the leaf of these plants.. As they don't bloom all the time. I have tried to include a leaf or 2 in the pictures of my flowers.. Simply so I can tell later which is which.

So- I know I haven't helped much but perhaps I've given you a direction to proceed in. Where did you get your cutting?

(I'm mildly paranoid about any spelling errors I may have made.. But if I have made any I'm sure Lewis will let us know.)
