Removing vines from lawn

Have Constance Elliot [white] and a purple passiflora both of which have stray vines now growing out of the lawn some distance away from the main plants.

Can these be removed safely i.e. will they have roots; or will they need potting to root?

Suggestions welcome as I'd like to give these away rather than mow them down.

Usually those sprouts have some roots, but sometimes they don't have much. The easiest way to find out is to dig one up. If it doesn't, then you can probaby root them pretty easily in some potting medium. Treat them like a cutting.
