My dog just woke me up so I decided to check the radar. She hears the thunder before I do. It's not raining yet but it looks like it's on its way, I hope.

Finally got a good rain here in Paris, Arkansas. We needed it. I think it came to fast but will take it.

I wished too hard. We've gotten about five inches so far today. It needs to stop for awhile and soak in.

Still softly falling for about 2 hours now. Hope it did not crust the soil so it does not soak in.

I let my gauge over flow but it was at 4 inches and the neighbor just called and said she had 6 inches so that is probably right for us too. It has rained most of the day.

We needed this!

Helen, are you getting rain in your area, and Ceresone? It looked pretty spread out but I forgot to check Ceresone's area. I hope everyone who needed it is getting it. I know Arkansas was hurting too so I am glad it got down that way.

I got 4.75 inches and now it can stop. I got soaked to the skin - 3 sets of clothes - I have played in water all day. I have heard the expression doesn't have sense to come in out of the rain. My cat, Puff, helped some of the time - I have a weird cat. Spanky stayed dry and the boy dogs were in the dog houses and Annie was in the house. It always seems that rain does so much better than watering with the hose. After it seemed really wet at the 2.5 inch point, I pulled a weed and the dirt was dry under its roots. Water just rolls off; but we got enough now I'm sure.
