Here is a link to a plant I have in my flower bed. The leaves are so similar to a dandelion leaf, but the flowers only open at night, only last one night,t hen the head of the flower drops to the ground and will produce another plant from that head. The flower opens quickly as the darkness comes......you can sit right there and watch it open, and with a little imagination, almost hear it pop as it opens.....it opens quickly, the pod is almost twisted, and it untwistes and pops open........sometimes when you get a lot of plants and have a lot of flowers ready to bloom, it is awesome tow atch one after another. I've never seen anything like it. My friend said it is a moonflower, and I have been told it is a primrose. I'd really like to know.....it comes back each year, but last winter was very hard on them and I only have a few left.
