What colors in counter, back splash, floor? Does your kitchen have lots of natural light? artificial light?

New counter is gray laminate, "old" counter is granite called cashmere, cream with brown,greenish,grayish speckles (I believe it is available at ikea). The kitchen has a double window sized opening on both new and old sides, looking onto a wall of windows with southern exposure. Moderate artificial light recessed

The flooring resembles cork (orange cast). Keep the walls & cabinets white. Remove non-essential stuff from counters (de-clutter), remove cookbooks, too. Have pans on wall equally spaced & mingle different sizes.


Buy display towel(s) for oven handle. The green will be a good contrast color for the floor.


Green leaf plants on cabinet shelves (pothos easy to grow).
