Meet me up in Mansfield!

I will be speaking at the Baker Creek "barn" on Oct. 7, the main subject being plant genetics and the history of biotechnology. To be discussed are food irradiation, the impact of GE technology on small family farming, the reasons that you should never buy hybrid seed, and the effect of certain government programs on America's farmers.

The event is the Baker Creek Heritage Day. To get there, go north off I-60 on the Mansfield, down London Road, and onto Baker Creek Road. (Signs will guide you.) You will get to the Bakersville Historic Village, and right after that--just before you cross the creek--is the Barn. Admission to the Heritage Day event is $2 per person; children under 14 years of age get in free.

Look forward to seeing you there!
