Depends on type of passionflower. P. incarnata would overtake the morning glory but stay in that pot. Sanguinolent or other small species will be smothered by the morning glory... passi and morning glory is a bit of an odd combo, but It'd look good if it works so I'd just try it,

I have most of 'em sitting right on the ground so if they need to they can grow through the drain holes.. Many have. Then when it's time to move (I rent this place) I just cut back the top, tear the pot from the ground and drive away. Often the roots send up vines- As I've found when I move them for some reason. My biggest caerulea was an orfan root-ball.. It's now got flowers all over it. 'Cource it came up under the fence & the neighbor's landloard is moaning because he thinks it's "invasive". Yeah Ok.

Well I've got a small decked garden so it will be lucky to get anywhere invasively. Because I don't have room to bring it in I'll probably end up treating it as an annual anyway.

Racemosa is not invasive but it is not the best passionflower to treat as an annual as the biggest racemes of flowers are produced on the previous years (or even older) growth. If you don't want the usual Caerulea (which will withstand frosts) you could try Amethyst or Eynsford Gem which will stand short periods of light frost. Myles (www.passionflow.co.uk) has the most marvellous Actinia growing outside. Best of luck.
