Flowers from Incese are bigger and deeper purple than incarnata. Here's a link that shows the two flowers side-by-side.

The key is to look at the nectar glands on the petioles. On Incanata they are touching the base of the leaf, on Incense, they are in the middle.

You've got an incense. Incarnata generally have (but not always) three-lobed leaves, while incense generally have (but not always) five lobed leaves. And if the flowers are very strongly scented, that's an incense trait as well.

Incense are pollen-sterile, as I understand it. They will sometimes set fruit if pollinated by caerulea or incarnata, and can produce F2 hybrids, but this is difficult and not too common. Any fruit produced generally has only a few seeds in it.
