How wonderful that you tried that crop! I've always thought it would be fun to grow them if I had the room.

I soaked unshelled peanuts in salt brine for 7 hours, dried them in the dehydrator and roasted them in the oven. The recipe said roast 30-35 minutes. 35 is too long. And they are not one bit salty, even on the shell. So. I now have more in the shell soaking-- going to soak a lot longer. And I shelled a lot of peanuts, soaked them in brine until the skins wrinkled ( about 2 hours) left the salt on and they're in the dehydrator. I plan to roast them today. The recipes all say 10-15 minutes. I'll let you know how they turn out.
