Argh. Frost prediction for tonight

Seems like just a few weeks ago I was looking forward to the iris blooming... now they are saying expect a freeze for the next night or two. Where did the summer go?

I took in the ficus, some coleus cutting and an armload of dahlia and sunflower blooms. I also threw two blankets and a plastic sheet over some stuff I want to save for another week or two (I hope). I never used plastic before, so I'll see if it works. It's a pretty thick drop cloth so I'm hoping for the best.

I really don't want to call it a year yet... but when the plantings are frozen and gone it's so much easier to stick in spring bulbs everywhere!
