Sorry for the delay, haven't had time to drop by here in weeks!

The plant is Asclepias curassavica which is an annual milkweed. The blooms are golden or a red and orange color. You might be interested in the photos at the link provided below...

They were so much bigger than the ones I grew that they didn't even look like the same plant. I didn't know they could get so big in one season. I've grown it from seed a couple times and also bought plants one year at a nursery but mine topped out well under three feet tall and not as big around.
