I have never had my caerulea make fruit but there should be enough days of heat since the fruit is setting early. I don't think this fruit is too good but caerulea is a good pollenator for other kinds of p.vines. You may want to grow P.incarnata near caerulea if the fruit isn't to your taste.

When I had my big vine (horses ate it down 3 years in a row) it produced fruit. most were empty shells a few had a couple of seeds. don't get your hopes up.

In Louisiana P. incarnata is a native and considered to have delicious fruit. It is invasive but an attractive vine. Skimpy the first year but will improve with each year. I grow it in a large decorative styrafoam pot and in the ground where I can just mow the runners or pot them up for trades.

Caeruleas are ... Um.... Well.... No. I would not eat them again. I guess if you mixed in enough sugar they'd be alright, but you can say that about just about anything.

I grow mine for the seeds- trade & sell, and if I feel like it making clones... Also to trade & sell.

This year I've been hand polinating all my plants with the caerulea pollen- Just to see if I get lucky and manage to 'make' a hybrid. So far I've managed to set fruit on alto-caerilea, lady margaret, and lavender lady. It will be awhile though untill they ripen & I get to see if I have any seeds.
