I've never heard of it. What kind of things have you heard about it and what kind of plants do you want to use it on?

Did a little reading up about it. Very little, because there is very little on the net about it. Appears to be named after it's creator, and is a synthetic nitrogen fertilizer. What do you intend to use it on? Could be good; could be bad for whatever the intended use may be.

My neighbor's yard always looks great, so I asked him the secret, his answer, SPIZ. The only place I know to purchase is Ellison Feed and Seed in Norman, OK. The sales guys there told me it was specially designed at OSU specifically for Oklahoma grasses. I put in on my yard (U3 Bermuda) 2 weeks ago and it is turning green and coming on strong. As of right now I am happy with SPIZ.

Note: the sales guys stated SPIZ stands for "Sulphur, Potassium, Iron, and Zinc"

SPIZ? Never heard of it, but I wonder if places like HD or Lowes would carry this item?

SPIZ "PRO GROWTH" is GREAT stuff, I've been using it about 8 years and there is no substitute for Oklahoma Lawns - it's formulated specifically for our lawns and is worth the effort to find it. It comes in a yellow and green 40lb. bag. Cost is (depending on where you get it) $15 bag. I was getting it from Ellison Feed in Norman but I also found it sold at Horn Seed in OKC at NW Expressway & Classen. I now get it at the manufacture in OKC at NE 10th & Martin Luther King Ave (1 mile from the I-35 & I-40 junction).

Eckroat seed co 11th and Martin Luther king or old Eastern Ave. They have seeds by mass and I bought good looking plants and weed killers....
