passion flower bloom time

I have a passionflower on my deck in the sun and it is loaded with buds.

The first one opened up and revealed a magnificent bloom.

However, two days later it closed up and has remained so.

Are these blooms usually so short-lived?

Is mine a particular variety?

That's normal. Many varieties have blooms that only open for a day.
