That's interesting. I have had some verbena Homestead Purple in a clear glass for quite a while with no success. I will transfer them to something dark.

I've always used clear. That will be fun to try.
I've seen articles on using different colored mulches with plants to make them grow faster that has something to do with the color of the light reflected. Red is supposed to make tomatoes and strawberries grow faster.
