helen, I have some seeds from my aunt that she has saved for years and I had one that I keep trying to find again that a friend planted every year that was the orange and red one. Friend is gone and I have lost the seeds. I don't try to cross any of them but do save seeds and have never had them cross that I am aware of.

My black cherry is from a friend who got it from a friend. I don't know if he bought it as a named plant or not.

How well do you like your Aunt's tomato? So many rave about Black Cherry; I wonder if my seeds were true. I didn't like my BC at all. I am wasting lots of time doing tomato research. I should save this for winter when I need it for mental health. I think I will just plant one cherry variety, sun gold. Cherry tomatoes usually volunteer in my garden so there will be others if I don't get them pulled up. This year I want to plant the cherry tomatoes on a trellis closer to the house. I hate it when I don't get them all picked and when they split after a rain.

I haven't planted it for some time. It seemed to get disease more than the others. Now, that I know the way you should save seeds by letting them ferment which kills disease, I hesitate to plant any that I have saved. I just let mine dry on a plate.

I wonder about my 'black cherry' too (from a friend's tomatoes). I did like it, but not as well as the little Sungold (which I forgot to order!). I am assuming I will lots of volunteers from the BC so I won't plant it again.
