I have a red panama passionfruit vine I planted about 18months ago. It started to fruit some time in February this year and is still producing new flowers and fruit. At present there must be over a hundred fruit on the vine. My concern is that now it is getting colder (down to 9degrees already at night time) that the fruit won't ripen. To date I've had only about a dozen ripe fruit from the vine. I tried removing new flowers and fruit to see if it would help the older fruit to ripen but it has only produced even more flowers. Will green fruit ripen if picked? The vine is quite large and covers a big area should I try cutting it back? All I want is some ripe fruit!
