After looking at a ton of photos, I think it looks like the passiflora amethyst.

More likely it's sterile version the Lady Lavendar.

I'm not sure what it is but it doesn't look like my LL.

LL and Amethyst have been shown to be the same plant after years of confusion. Be that as it may, this one isn't either of them. It looks vaguely familiar, but I can't place it. Will break out the books this evening.

Thanks, I'm very curious to what it is. I *wish* people would label these things at the nurseries. There were four of these and not one of them was labeled. I bought two. Will add a photo of the other one.

Well, I have to say I'm stumped. I *think* it's a hybrid, but I can't pin it down. It resembles Minilamb and Purple Pendulum to a degree, but not exactly. I even went through the passiflora cultivars PDF for 2004-09 and couldn't find an exact match.

It is possible that it's an original hybrid from that local grower. It may not even be registered and named. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Actually, after looking closely at the leaves behind the flower, I'm starting to think it may well be Amethyst. Are the petals reflexed back behind the bloom? If so, then yes, it's Amethyst. From this angle it simply looks like the petals are short.

I agree with jblaschke. If you can do it, a photo of the flower from the side as well as one of the leaves, including the growing tip, should confirm it.

Yep, that's Amethyst/Lavender Lady. The reason I asked about the growing tip is that there's often a lot of purple in that region in that hybrid--I do see purple on the petioles and the stem in the picture above.
