I see that this forum is fairly quite. I also bought a passiflora and am growing it in a pot with a bamboo trellis. My plant has had a few blooms thus far, and currently has a flush of new blooms. I also would welcome advice on how to care for it during winter.

A few years ago I started a passiflora from seed. It actually started to obtain a decent size by September. I forgot the vine outside one late Sept night and the vine survived about 18F. I transplanted the plant to a smaller pot (in order to keep it on the windowsill indoors and had to trim it back quite a bit, and placed it on the cool basement windowsill.

It lost all it's leaves (I think a delayed reaction from being exposed to freezing temperatures) but sprouted new leaves shortly thereafter. Didn't grow much over winter but resumed growth in early spring. It became a tangled mess so I trimmed once again and placed it outside for the summer, directly in the ground. It grew like crazy. Never did bloom, however, for whatever reason I am unsure about.

So, this year when I saw an actual blooming plant at the nursery I had to buy it. I think I'll try overwintering in a similar way this winter.
