P. 'Adularia' would have about the same chance as P. citrina. P. citrina is actually one of the parents of P. 'Adularia', with P. sanguinolenta being the other.

P. biflora is a great choice! I have been wanting to try exactly that cross, but alas my P. holosericea has never yet bloomed. Please let me know what happens!

I have had the Holosericea many years and it blooms profusely here. I have tried crossing it with every decaloba I have (Citrina, Sanguinolenta, Trifasciata, Colinvauxii, Flying V, Coriacea etc. etc. It forms fruit easily (even without hand pollination) but I have never had a seed from it. I read somewhere that the P. holosericea has a different chromosome count from other decalobas and assume that is the reason.

I didn't get any fruit with the biflora pollen and it looks like I won't have anymore blooms for quite a while. Some critter ate a couple feet of vine so all the buds are gone.

Passies and their damn chromosome counts! I never know who can pollinate who or what varieties are sterile or partially sterile. Such a complicated group of plants.

My Sunburst usually develops quite a few fruit with or without hand pollination but none have ever contained any seeds. I wonder if it has to do with the chromosome count?

Passiflorista (Jim Nevers) recently sold P. holosericea on Ebay. From his description:

"We do have 2 clones of this species, and hope to offer plants of the second clone before this season ends. We also hope that the 2 clones will pollinate each other, and produce viable seed. There are no hybrids of P. holosericea, because it has a different number of chromosomes from other passion vines."

P. holosericea has 2n = 14. Most decalobas are 2n = 12.
P. lobata has 2n = 14, but it's not closely related (although a Decaloba...).
