Years ago my friend and I grew Black Prince peppers. Our original seeds came from a pod from Longwood Gardens. We grew them and shared them through the years, winning several Bronze Medals at The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Harvest Show. The plants had handsome black/purple leaves and small, pointed, almost black peppers. At some point, the seeds crossed with something else & we lost the strain. Every attempt to grow our old favorite has failed. We've tried seeds from the Herb Society Exchange & elsewhere. I can't find it in any catalog. Would be glad to send sase, trade for herb seeds,
