So I have recently become fascinated with passifloras of every type. And in my research, I discovered that the easiest type to grow here in New York would be the Incarnata. So I purchased some seeds, soaked them in orange juice for a day or so, planted them in individual soil pots, and started playing the waiting game.

After a week of patiently waiting, a storm knocked over one of the planters spilling the dirt and seeds. After picking up the spilled dirt and finding all of the lost seeds, I noticed that one of the seeds had started to germinate. The seed had popped open, but nothing had grown out of the seed yet and it wasn't damaged. I frantically got the seed back into the soil, nervous that I may have just killed my poor little seedling.

Now my question is, does anyone know if by touching the freshly open seedling, or exposing it to the open air, have I potentially killed my little Incarnata?
