I've had seeds germinate within three weeks, and others germinate after a year and given up for dead. They'll drive you nuts.

Yup, I agree- Some take 2 weeks, some over a year. From the same fruit even. Totally sucks when you throw out the dirt & THEN they sprout- leaving you without a clue of what they are.

Well that sounds fun i can't keep the seeds in the propagator for a year though so unless the soil gets re-used they probally won't germinate .

I'd say 'absolutely bloody ages' would be my answer. :)

Be careful if you re-use the soil - you'll end up being surprised when they do finally germinate amongst whatever you use the soil for, and you'll be weeding them out forever.

I had seeds stored in the fridge.Got a new fridge.I noticed hubby left the baggie out so I went on and set my tray up(salad container w peat pot discs,pored boiling water over) And they have been sitting....sitting...sitting.I can actually leave them undisbred.I prevouisly grew one of the red seeds& the vine grew never flowered,dug up & replanted it the next spring.It did well till hubby weeded it with weed eater(wacker)So I might need to let these sit around a year huh.they are in the pantry.the seeds seemed in good shape when planted them.They had been in the fridge about 3 years though........................

would nicking the seeds help?

As others say these are contrary beasts. Crank the temperature up is best.

I've given up on many a passiflora seed and recycled the soil only to have the passies sprout later on. I have more pots of ornamental plants with passies growing along with them then I can count!

Glad I checked in on this, just got a bunch of Passiflora seeds :)

i would love some passion flower vine seeds of anykind or rooted cuttings please, iam a new lover of the passion flowers just want to get started with them i have one vine but i dont know what it is and it hasnt bloomed yet hope it blooms this year, thanks
