have: black prince hot pepper - sasbe

I am offering Black Prince pepper seeds for SASBE. I will send 2-3 pods (ripe) if you send me a Self Addressed Stamped Bubble Envelope with $0.49 pre-paid postage affixed with a mailing label affixed.

If interested, let me know. Please only respond if you are serious about the offer.

This is a very unusual looking ornamental pepper with black pods before ripening to red. I have many 15-20 packets I can send.

    Chris,

Thanks for the Fish pod. I'm starting some plants to grow at my office this winter. I've already got some Peter Peppers started from 2004 seed to keep the Fish company.

I would really like some of your Black Prince seeds. I'm going to get a bubble envelope to you this weekend, okay?

I'm also looking for a pepper called Indigo. Are you familiar with it or do you have access to seeds for it?

    Here is a link to a picture of {{gwi:1137550}}

Save a couple of Black Prince pods for me, the envelope should come to you the first of next week.

    Regards, Bill

    Chris,

    Thanks, man.

Listen, I got those "white Jalapenos" from a store-bought pepper that was shaped just like a Jalapeno, and was cream colored. I've had 5 seeds in a pot for over a week now, and no sign of germination here.

At the same time, I test germinated 10 Peter Pepper seeds from a pod I got in 2004 (the ones I sent you are from 2005); and I've had 7 out of 10 of them germinate just fine sitting right beside the Jalapenos.

So, I'll let you know if those "white Jalapenos" do anything for me.

I planted your Fish, some Yellow Thai I got from fresh pods at the Thai food store, and some Puya chilies I got from dried pods at the Mexican food store.

When I get your generous gift, I will start several of them to over winter in my office. Thanks.

    Chris,

I received your envelope of seeds today. I have no idea why it took so long. Sometimes I get things in my PO box overnight, and sometimes it seems to take forever. Who knows.

Anyway, thanks for the generous supply of seeds. They all look great.

The Black Prince pods were getting a little mouldy I guess from the delayed trip through the postal system. I took out the seeds and rinsed them real good in Clorox and water and they look fine. Only one single seed had a blue spot in the shell. I tossed it.

Thanks again, I'm gonna try a couple of seeds out next week and maybe grow one plant indoors this winter.

    Hi,

Am I too late for this offer?

Hi. This SASBE offer will be closed as of 10/21/05. Several people have already requested seeds and I have sent out three packages already. I am nearing the end of my supply of ripe pods. If I have already e-mailed you and your SASBE arrives in 2 weeks, you are fine. Just an FYI. Hope you enjoyed the pepper seeds!

    Chris,

Got mine also and just wanted to say thank you!!!!

Just letting everyone know the offer is closed. I received only three SASBEs. I had four more baggies ready, but the pods are getting moldy unfortunately. I didn't have time to deseed them. Bill mentioned a method to remove the mold though. Hope everyone who got the seeds enjoyed them. :)

    Hi Chris!
Just to let you know... I got your package quickly but forgot they were pods and not seeds so by the time I got around to them they were a bit moldy. But no problem, didn't do anything special, and they germinated on a moist paper towel. Unfortunately Hurricane Wilma came and they got forgotten about during the days without power! I started another batch (including many that had the aforementioned dark spots) and no problem. Most of them germinated anyway! Tonight's going to be cold down here (50's) so I'll probably wait til next week to move them outside & get them potted up. How large do the plants get? And I'm guessing since they're named "hot peppers" they're edible (I only ask because people on the other forum keep asking for black prince ornamental! so I'm getting confused - doesn't take much)

Thank you again sooo much> I am really looking forward to seeing my babies grow!

Chris if you still have some of the pepper pods I really would appreciate some. Thank you Dale Florence SC

Just a quick update...they're doing great! Love the black foliage, too! (I thought it was going to be just black peppers so it was a pleasant surprise)
