seeds too hot

I put my zip lock bag of S. minor 'McCurtain' and S. louisiana seeds in moist cactus mix next to the fan exhaust on the compact fluoarescent fixture above one of my fish tanks. It felt nice and warm, and I read that Sabals like really warm temps for germination. I finally got my hands on a thermometer and found out they've been sitting in 135 degree air 14 hours a day for two weeks. Did I kill these guys? Is there any way to tell besides wait and see if they eventually germinate?

I got a R. hystrix seed to germinate in two weeks under the same conditions, but lost it later due to fungus.
