Is there a way to prevent Passiflora vines from becoming woody? I noticed recently a patch of wild passiflora incarnata that is growing in full sun that has extremely woody vines, yet another patch that grows in patchy sun has nice trainable vines. Is there a correlation between the the amount of sun? I noticed there wasn't much of a difference in the amount of flowers, although there was a difference in the size of the flowers. In the full sun, the flowers were much smaller (probably 1 and a half inches across), whereas the flowers in the patchy sun were nearing 2 and a half to 3 inches across and much darker in color.
