No one else has guessed so I will have a go. It is extremely difficult to tell from the photos and I do not think we have enough evidence to be certain either way. if you check the link you will see that there are about 500 species of Passiflora so the more pics from all angles the better. The flowers or even their buds help a lot too but too late in the season I guess. Certainly the tendrils are Passiflora like and if it is a Passiflora it will be a foetida type like Passiflora Arizonica or similar which can have rather odd leaves and like that type of dry hot climate. If it is the fruit when ripe will be safe to eat and very tasty. Don't take a chance though in case it isn't a Passiflora at all!

Thinking about it of course one way to check is to cut open ripe fruit and check for the typical Passiflora smell and seed appearance.

P. foetida?

It's not foetida. Foetida has the lacy bracts and the fruit is smaller. I'm dying to know what it is though.
