nice shots, what camera do you use?

does this variety create edible fruits?

These were taken with Crystal's Nikon Coolpix S10, which while older, has incredible zoom and macro abilities that my more expensive camera does not.

Being related to P. foetida, I would assume the fruits to be edible, but since it just bloomed for me, I don't know yet, and my possible pollen parents haven't been open at the same time.

That's gorgeous! I assume it's a hybrid, and one of the parents is P. foetida - do you know the other one?

The cross is P. arida x P. sublanceolata, though I am looking forward to attempting P. foetida with it. Both parents are closely related to P. foetida, which is fairly obvious. Ethan also made a hybrid of this plant with it's siblings, "(((P. arida x P. sublanceolata) x (P. arida x P. sublanceolata)) x (P. arida x P. sublanceolata))), and I am looking forward to seeing it bloom, though it likely won't be until next year. Don't worry, I'll post it the day it blooms!
