Oops, I have caerulea, not incarnata.

In Gadsden, I have not seen a single GF cat this whole summer! For that matter, no adults either. I left New Orleans in June, the GF situation seemed normal. My vines are incarnata.

Wow, I wonder what this means? I only saw one here in middle Alabama this year.

Last year, I saw quite a few caterpillers on 'Incense', but this year I have not seen a single one. I also usually see them on the wild incarnata, but not this year. I also had almost no Japanese beetles this year, which is a "problem" I would like to continue to have.

Ha! I think they all came to Texas! My Incense had Gulf Fritillary cats showing up on it in March, and they'd completely wiped it out by June. It regrew, but now the cats are back munching it to pieces, and have torn into my three incarnata vines, my Constance Elliott, Amethyst and Lady Margaret. Relocation operations take up almost an hour each day. It's unbelievable how many cats are there. The only vines they seem to be ignoring are my regular caerulea (only a few small cats on that) and my little native affinis over in the corner of the yard.

Yep they in texas I cant keep this vine .They eat it to ground over and over .I have 24 plants they all eatin up to ground.I buy more and they eat them to ground really dont see how anyone could call this plant ebasive it wont take over texas hehe I really hope mine come back.

I have loads of different passion vines and not one Gulf Frit. I haven't had many Japanese beetles either come to think of it. That I don't mind : )
