P. obovata japonica first bloom

I purchased this plant last year at Cady's Falls Nursery for $20 and it bloomed this week. It was one of the first up this spring and the first to bloom. My hybrid herbaceous peonies are way behind. I also found a Krinkled White with 8 eyes yesterday at a local nursery for $18. Had to get it.

Hopefully the pic of my peony will be right side up. If not its because I am posting from my phone.

Wow, you are so lucky to be close to Cady Falls. They have a really nice collection of peonies as well as other plants. For $20, p.obovata is a bargain. I would love to trade you a piece of my fernleaf hybrid for a piece of your p.obovata 4 years from now when the plant matures.
