Very nice. You'll have to post a pic when it opens. My EF is huge but still no blooms.

Thank you Karyn and I will re Photo...

I need to check out Mum's Caerulea 'Constance Elliott' for some pollen to see if I can get some fruit. Hopefully this weekend

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing more. Some of mine are finally budding up after this horrible hellish heat this summer. I think they are liking the cooler nights now.

Sure is getting there. Looks good! It is maddening waiting for flowers to open... I've been waiting for my first Simple Pleasures Hibiscus flower to open for 2 weeks! It is sure taking its time grrrr. Right now LL and p_jeannette are just starting to bloom. Fall through spring is when things bloom here not in summer when it is too hot. We are backwards lol.

It looks like it will be opening soon. Mine is finally getting buds. I hope I don't have to cut all of them off to get it inside.

Thanks and Yes it does, but I can't discribe it....

Congratulations. Now maybe you will get fruit!

Maybe.... I've pollinated with some Incarnata pollen that I had.... We'll just have to wait and see now....

Ninecrow, that's gorgeous. Where'd you get the incarnata pollen? That one I sent you can't be blooming already, can it?

I was watering my plants yesterday in the yard and was stunned to find THREE good-sized buds on my flavicarpa. This one hasn't even hinted at setting flowers and now all of the sudden, three. Unfortunately, the only things I have blooming right now are my Lady Margaret and gossypiifolia. :-(

The pollen was in my fridge jblaschke *Waves Hi* Dunno how long I've had it for.... Can't even remmber where it came from.... I SO Need to make a note of these things.... *Sigh*

Good luck with the cross, then. I'm afraid my only option is to try to self my flavicarpa via bud pollination. I'm not too optimistic about my chances, but we do what we can.

NC that is just beautiful!!!!! I hope the pollination takes....The only thing blooming around here is Nephrotes and the Pura Vida Purple is starting to put on buds.. I am soooo jealous...LOL
