Hi! Maybe silly question to some....

Hi!

I was at a garden yesterday that had a few interweaved vines growing together. One of them was a passiflora one was a clematis and one was something else.

I picked some seeds from one of the vines, it looks like it has teeny white-downy kind of feathers attached to the seeds. Might this be the passiflora?

Ive never seen those seeds and cant remember what clematis seeds look like either. happens when you get....ummmmm....past a certain b-day you know!

I'm past a certain birthday myself, Doris, so I understand!
Those feathery seeds would be the clematis seeds - passionfruit is round or egg-shaped and usually smooth, no wings, feathers or the like, some seed/fruit being as big as cantaloupes and some as little as huckleberries!

Thanks Sherry! I never knew that these were the same vines that grew the fruit, the seeds certainly werent in a fruit, they were in a nice brown dry crunchy seed pod.

The clematis seeds are pretty kewl with those little feathery thingys!
