Mexico Passiflora Expert

I will be down in very Southern coastal Mexico in early December and would love to locate someone there who is knowledgable about the local plants (especially Passiflora.) Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about finding such a person? Any advice/tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe you could see if they have any botanical or public gardens there. Even if they didnt have an expert there they may know where to find one. Im not sure if mexico has any extension services but they must have agricultural agents etc. Perhaps you could try that or call a university/college ag dept. there, if one exists.
