Um... I'm not sure what to tell you- anything can be compact & small if you prune it. I have about 25 different south american varieties inside this winter and all are doing fine- Just give them enough light. I have 6 living under a single 22 watt flourescent 'circline' bulb, augmented with part sun through a window for about 4 hours a day & they all seem to be fine as long as I can keep the spider-mites in check.

Maybe try herbertiana or biflora.. Tricuspis, molissima, and antioquiensis are all doing well.. I cannot think of any other 'indoor' names at the moment- but pretty much anything I would think.

'Lady Margaret' would be a very good choice. Mine is small (10 inches tall) and does well indoors in a small pot under a fluorescent light, and opens a new bloom every 2-3 days. I water it once every 2-3 days.

I can add standleyii, citrina, murucuja, and sanguinolenta -- if you look at popular online nurseries (Kartuz, Logees, Glasshouseworks) they'll often tell you in the description what works well indoors. Also, check out Vanderplank's book on passies at the library/bookstore and see his list for more ideas.
