And I already got over and inch this morning.

I hope we get at least some of the rain it is predicting. Last time, when Leslie posted the 7-day, it showed us at a quarter inch that day. As time went on, it had us between 2-4" at various points. How much did we get? About 0.13". If it lets us down this time, we are in a tremendous amount of trouble here. Our YTD rainfall for the whole year varies from less than 6" to almost 7" depending on where you are in the county. Considering April-June is our rainy season, that is ridiculous. April and May really let us down. I hope the June rainfall actually falls from the sky and hits the ground here.

We did have a thunderstorm this morning: thunder, lightning, lots of wind, and dark gray, sometimes ominous-looking clouds. Rain? Rain? Well, three raindrops hit me. I'm not sure any reached the ground.

Hope everyone gets some of the moisture. We received another 1.5 inches this morning. That makes 4.5 inches in the last two weeks. The most we've had this time of year in at least 6 years. It has really helped the garden. I have a feeling this is going to be a tomato year and I don't have many out and most of them haven't been in the ground long. The only watering I've done in the last two weeks is what I've transplanted and some seeds I've planted. I went from Elkhart, KS to Leedey, OK to Santa Fe, NM last week and didn't see a brown blade of grass. Some areas have received a lot more than others but at least it was green the whole trip. Been a while since I've seen that. It looks like some good rain is moving out of the Texas Panhandle into western OK now.

Jay I am so glad you are getting some. I always check the map looking for your area.

Well, the weather guy on tv tonight said the F word. My youngest looked at me and said "Dad, I've never heard that word before. What does it mean?" I looked at him and said "It means we might get a lot of rain in the next few days!"

Flood.

We were geared up for what looked like a massive thunderstorm that included severe warnings. It petered out about 5 minutes before it hit resulting in a common issue.

Meanwhile, I was gauging the tail end of the universal storm willing its tail to balloon over south Oklahoma. No suck luck.

I was up off and on waiting for the storms. So were the Tulsa meteorologists. Then it all pretty much died out just as it got here about 3:00.

At least they got more out where they need it most.
