Elaeagnus edibility

I have three different Elaeagnus -- pungens, multiflora, and angustifolia. I know the fruit is edible, but the leaves look yummy, too. anyone know if they are edible?

I've never seen a word about edibility of the leaves. OTOH, they might make a great emergency fodder for animals.

hi
i know that the leaves of multiflora have been used to treat coughs and that pungens can be used to treat coughs& asthma amongst others.....but as a food crop im not sure!
