Weirdo...

Hey guys!!

Been a really long time since I've been on the forum, hope everyone is doing well!! Been soooooo busy...

Had a very strange plant growing in one of my flower beds, can't really describe it, so I'll try to get a picture added to the post...

The plant is shriveled, when I first saw it, it looked moist and was much more erect than it is in this picture. I took this picture yesterday. Next to it is an "egg". Another one came from the "egg" today, but probably due to the heat it's already shriveled and dying. I'll try adding water and see if it plumps back up and get another pic.

I've never seen anything like this, hoping an Okie native might know what it is!! (can't get the pic to attach, so I added a link to it)

Hi, Courtney,
I get those in the wood chip mulch that I get from the city. I believe it is some sort of mushroom. That's what it looks like to me, anyway. Pat

I THINK I figured it out :))) Stinkhorn... it's a fungus like a mushroom... guess its supposed to smell really bad and attract flies so that they take the spores with them on their travels.. Luckily I found after the stank had left!!
