Sue that really is the problem with using any Azzie info ... we just have way different climatic conditions. As I understand it they have long dry periods, then monsoons when the rain seems to never stop. And of course the whole tropical plant thing kicks in too.
I'm sure if you did a little local hunting you will find the info you need for YOUR site. Surely there is some good works going on in that progressive city of Seattle!

Oriented all wrong to the sun!

Seriously Aussie land is a big place. There's the northern tropical monsoon area where they have 2 seasons - wet and dry. There's the lower tropics and sub tropics, wet summers and dry mild winters. There's the alpine and Tasmanian cold (for Aus!) and wet areas. And then there's the mediterranean zone where they have wet winters and dry summers.

I haven't read this book yet but it seems popular so that's another resource for my list.
