I'll start my slow-growers (Chinense) this week.

You know I've got too damned many seeds already, but I'd like to venture a guess
based on my past germinating experiences. I'm going to say Thai Chile, since they're
incredibly vigorous and I've had them germinate in 4 - 6 days.

I will rule out the aji yello, habanero, and the tabasco from my own experiences. Josh makes a good point with the thai, but I must come up with my own guess. Therefore, um...hungarian wax. I am set with seeds, but I can't resist a competition.

I have cayennes pop up pretty quick. I'll say cayenne.

I'll guess jalapeno. I'm not very experienced with hot peppers, but jalapenos are almost weeds for vigor in the garden.

I'm going to guess Serrano. They are quick to germ. for me.

I don't know much about this stuff, but it's fun to play. My guess would have been Hungarian Wax, but it's been spoken for twice. Jalapeno is my next guess, already taken. I like Pepperoncini and Habanero, so eeny meeny....Pepperoncini.

I'd guess whatever seed is fresher,no matter what variety.

I've had C.Chinense pop out in 3 days fresh out of a ripe pod-no drying etc.
Same with C.Pubescens seeds from a store baught pod.

So I say whoever plants a seed or seeds from fresh pods will win.

Actually kind of funny, cause he is the one who sent those Thai Chile seeds, lol.

Seriously?! Hahaha!
That just made my night. I was at a buddy's house earlier this evening, and I was casting
an envious eye on his lighting set-up. He has several Bhuts, Habs, and Black Pearls going
under lights....meanwhile, I've yet to soak my first seeds of the season.

With these Thai Chiles, I crack the dried pod in half, pour the seeds into a tray,
and pretty much every seed germinates. I don't even bother soaking them anymore.

Like I said, I don't need any seeds....but this sure was a good challenge ;-)
Maybe we could pass some seeds to Lyle...
