Something Is Eating My Peony Leaves

For the second year something is eating my peony leaves and whatever it is takes little bites out of every leaf that looks like I took scrapbook scissors to the leaves to make a pattern all around them. Sorry I do not do pictures yet but hope someone knows what this is.

That is truly awful damage caused by slugs. Never thought I'd be grateful for our dry CO climate, no slugs!

Ok, how about this?

"Euonymous, peonies and lilac are among the plants frequently damaged by adult root weevils."

There is a small picture of the kind of damage they do. You can find more on the web. They eat notches out of the leaves.
