I've always used just standard pots with well draining potting mix . The important point seems to be fresh seed and of course heat . Not too shallow a pot as the roots develop very rapidly . good luck gary

the root pops out first and plants itself before the first baby leaves head for the sun, or simply against the pull of gravity. I would leave them there until the first baby leaves appear. If they are all in the same pot. soak them and then separate them. Palms are pretty slow so i use spahgnum moss and perlite/coir to pot them in until they are ready for ground planting.
I have a few cardboard palms popping up right now. they are 30 days into germination and the tip-roots just started to pop.
