I wish I could say that I like this hardier palm more than P.canariensis, but I cannot. I do find it slower than canariensis. I suspect that they also have more issues with humid Eastern/Southeastern summers compared to canariensis. We will see, I just transplanted mine so maybe this Summer will be different--yours definitely needs either ground planting or transplanting into a pot if that is the plan asap. It is also very prickly species so positioning out of paths may be important. Good luck with it.
