Cutting has roots!

I've rooted lots of tomato cuttings and houseplants but never tried real hard or had much luck with peppers. Quite awhile back I trimmed my overwintering peppers and just for fun stuck some cuttings in a vase with water. Not much happened for a long time and I kinda forgot about them. While cleaning up the plant area recently I found them....and there are lots of roots! Guess you just have to not care too much and then they will grow for you.

A few years ago I experimented with cuttings and got quite a few varieties to root. They did mostly take longer than other veggies.

I do the same thing I'll clone them a few times to make dwarfs...

s.s.tupperware: I hadn't heard that cloning would dwarf the plants. Any idea of why that happens? I'm assuming you mean that the plants are miniatures, not just that they are small because they haven't had time to grow much.

It seems each generation cloned get smaller each time, I have a 2 year old pequin that only 4 in tall and 8 inches across.
