My Trachy seemed to be on the road to recovery last month as it sent out a flower stalk and still had some green in the emerging fronds. Noticed recently, however, that the remaining fronds are all brown. Tried pulling on the newest spears, but they are intact. Doesn't seem to be growing at all. Sprayed some fungicide in the crown, and have been watering...but I'm back to feeling pessimistic. That tall trunk may yet become lumber. What say the good folk here? Should I start preparing a eulogy? Any additional recommendations for saving this guy?
