Howea Outside?

Hi,

I live in zone 9b/10a with temperatures reaching a minimum of -1 degrees C. Where I live, I can grow Phoenix, Washingtonia, Trachycarpus, Jubaea, phormium, cordyline, gloriosa and gunnera without any protection. Our winters are very wet, and daytime temperatures reach around 10 C in winter, and 20 C in Summer. Can I grow howea? They look so much like coconut palms, and x butiagrus is hard to find. Is it possible to grow them in this climate?

I also am germinating Roystonea regia seeds. How long do they usually take?

Thanks

James
