I think I may have put too much fertilizer on a Florida Thatch Palm I bought from Home Depot. It's about 2 feet high and now the growing center seems dead. It tried to put out two new fronds that were brown and dry as they partially emerged. Just now I snipped out the brown growth and nothing new appears in the center. There are three old fronds on it that are green and seem to be OK. It's been about a year that it's been like this. Any suggestions? BTW, It's in the ground and I live in Fort Lauderdale.
