seed germination

I planted a bunch of seeds around 18 days ago. Some were put in a biodome and sown into the refill sponges that came with it, others sown into potting soil in the regular black plastic 6 cell containers and those are in a biodome as well. Seeds are: every color habanero imaginable, red savina habs & red lantern habs, jalapeno, fatali, manzano, & bhut's. So far only 2 chocolate habs sprouted but eventually died off because I didnt remove them from the biodome quick enough. Apparently these hot pepper types are sloooow to germinate. I am planning on starting others around the 30 day mark if these do not sprout. Has anyone ever had lengthy germmination times with habanero's..?

im only 3 days into my grow, and its killing me knowing how long im gonna have to wait... ive read it could take up to 30 days to germinate for some peppers, and as low as 7-10 days for others

from my experience, peppers do take a long time to germinate, some of my habs took close to 20 days.
later on i tried putting heat to the soil, and this sped up the germination time greatly..... my habs were up in 7-8 days

They will come up eventually. I am new at this also. My lemon-peppers sprouted in about 12-14 days. I only had a few come up at first (some I buried too deep) but had a few more come up in a couple days. I have my plants in a kitchen closet where our furnace heat ducts are and so is my lighting so I do have an advantage when it gets cold outside. I planted more BELL peppers on march 4th to see if I can improve my germination times.
