Wont be able to tell until peppers start to develop

Thank you for the replies. I started a few seeds of each listed a few months ago and didnt lable them. Lesson learned from my rookie mistake : (

I say its a Bhut. The leaves are crinkly like a Chinense, not flat and smooth like an Annuum. I think.

well here it is i can confirm its a bhut!!! good guess spice8 you nailed it. the plant has several pods they all look good to me but the single one in the pic has strange discoloration on the tip and it is a bit soft. is this a warning sigh of something going on or just a loner that got a bit of damage?

The tip discoloration looks like Blossom End Rot (BER).

BER is caused by an inability to access Calcium. It is common on early fruits,
when the plant is demanding Calcium for growth and doesn't have enough for the pods, as well.
It can also be caused by cool temperatures and wet soils, which interfere with Calcium uptake.
And, lastly, it can be caused by an actual deficiency of Calcium in the soil.

So, how are you fertilizing? Specifically, what is your source of Calcium?
And how are your watering habits?

soil pH is 6.6, Sodium (ppm) 57.7, Calcium (ppm) 88.3, Magnesium (ppm) 22.2, Potassium (ppm) 185. the texture texture class is loam, sand 43.8 silt 37.5 and clay 18.8...just adding 3 lbs 46-0-0 per month and watering twice a week....temp here is 100-108 day and 74 at night...

hehe..correction....it is 3 lbs per 1000 sq ft.

It looks like bhut jolokia, but you could compare it to my collection of peppers to see if you agree. A couple species look similar to it, but you'll find out once it fruits.
