Sounds delicious! I just started my first ever batch of Serrano from seeds.

As for red Jalapenos, I couldnÂt get them at local stores where I live, just the early picked green ones.

I love Mexican food and researched Chipotles (smoke Jalapenos which I canÂt seem to get here either) on the web. My curiosity is what actually got me hooked on growing my own hot peppers.

I purchased Jalapeno seeds online and grew my first batch to full ripeness. Smoked them with hickory on my ceramic smoker and the rest is the bane of my girlfriendÂs existence I spend the late winter and all summer caring for "my little babies" LOL LOL.

IÂve been eating, smoking and freezing Jalapenos and other hot peppers (love my Habaneros) for two years now. I actually grind my Chipotles into powder and have a local following looking for it on a regular basis. Over two years giving it away free, IÂve got them hooked and, like any self respecting pusher, am now going to start charging ridiculous amounts by the once!!! LOL

I definitely encourage you to go for it. IÂm sure you be happy with your results.

I started germinating 6 Serrano's as well. Only 4 of them germinated successfully, but I am guessing that the 4 plants that made it will probably produce plenty of pods for me alone :)

I Grind most of mine up into powder too. But I give very little out as I run through it like it's gonna runaway or something LOL. I am on the last of the seasonings I made last year.

My favorite as well.

try smoking your serrano powder and then sprinkle on microwave popcorn...mmmmmmm heaven..;)
